Yaya has been goodf but I don't think Wenger will get him, he passed on him before twice.

Sagna is one of the best signings in the Pl last year, Torres of course but really SAgna has been trully awesome

I think Santa Cruz was the best signing last season. He scored about 30 goals this season and cost like what, 4 million? Not a bad return.

I realise this, but even 10 million seems a bit much. It's hard to say, but you would assume that the Portsmouth board would give Redknapp a bit more money next season so that they can have a fair go in Europe. If the rumors of Kranjcar being linked to Arsenal are true, than i expect Portmouth to put a very high price tag on him. What's the deal with Defoe? Did Pompey and Spurs work out an agreed price for him? I assume the 3 parties involved are in favour of a permanent move. A Crouch/Defoe strike partnership is perfect.

Makelele doesn't need pace for the role that he plays. Basically he sits in front of the defence and is back to cover for opposition counter attacks and mop up the ball when needed and he very rarely attacks.

Keane and Fabregas are differnt types of players so you can't really compare the two.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Man U put in a bid for Dean Ashton during the window. Would give them an option that they don't have at the moment - a tall, skillful target man, with the ability to get goals & bring in other players. Doesn't have much pace & is prone to gaining weight, but he's easily our (WHU) best forward - just not sure how much he likes being at West Ham.

Be a shame if he left, but I'd understand why he might want to join them.

^^^that might be a good buy as he wouldn't demand that much playing time as a striekr bgrought from the continent would

Unless if they get Ashton for cheap, i really don't see what he has to bring to the table. Ashton fits the bill of being the big, strong target man that MU don't have at the moment, but the guy can't even string 5 games together without an injury. I would be suprised if he ended up making the move and i think MU would be better off going to Huntelaar, whom they are also linked to.
