it is easier playing o nthe wing, you don't have the same responsibilites

you cannot win with great wingers and poor CM's,

Gerrad wasn't a starter as young as Cesc

You can't win with great CM's and poor wingers (or if you choose to play narrow then strikers) you need good players in every position.

And you never said anything about age when saying about centre midfielders, if you mean young players who have come into a team and played as well as Fabregas then there would be less names for sure because that's a position where you need maturity. Fabregas is a very intelligent footballer so that was no problem for him.

Does the fact he started playing so early make him better than those who were playing regularly from there 20s though? Absolutely not.

And if it's so "EASY" playing on the wing then why has your boy Eboue made such a fuck up of it this season? And why doesn't every team have world class wingers? You're crazy obsession with centre midfielders has no basis.

Most people would say the greatest players of all time are Pele & Maradonna, neither were centre mids. Being a centre mid doesn't automatically make you a better player, if you think so then that is simply illogical.

I meant to type age sorry

And I do have a fetish for CM's,

Eboue wsn't great, he still made a decent job at RM he would have been fucked at CM

Plenty of CM's can step out nad play in the
wing, the other way around? I only know about Beckham and he wasn't stellar at CM

Only a very select few wingers have such impact as Messi and C Ronaldo, if they fall out of the game it doesn't mean total breakdown of their teams, if CM's fail you are fucked

We're just gonna have to accept that we have very different opinions on this. To me CM's are important, but just as important as anything else. I'll close by saying your Arsenal team wouldn't have been half as succesful without Pires or Ljungberg on the wing, not to mention Henry who played very much down the left for you. These attacking talents are must haves. Look at Liverpool (my team) we have 2 great CM's in Gerrard and Mascherano but we lack the attacking quality mainly because we have Kuyt/Pennant filling in on the right and Babel who's not a true LM. CM's aren't the be all and end all of football. But it's all good, we all got different takes on the game.

I read an article about the US u-20 team going to the UK to play/practice with some club teams. It would not suprise me if Altidore ended up in the UK next year or the year after.

and your great central midfield, Alonso is a great CM aswell IMO, Sissoko wasn't even half bad

Imagine if you had the level of CM talent you have on the wings

Pennant level when compared to a CM is like waht midtable at best

Babel can become great thou
