Are steroids a major problem in strongman events?

Like many other sports, there are strict controls to ensure there is no cheating. The supplements we take are produced by the sponsor of the event, MET-Rx. We are tested for banned substances after every event. It's important to show the sport is clean.

My lil brother is a Pro Power Lifter and is converting into Strongman, just had his 1st Strongman Amateur Qualifying event and placed 4th...

From what he tells me the training is just plain stupid, but he's doing well at it, 21 years old and has a long career ahead of him...

I lift at a strong man gym. Tire flips, chain drags, car pulls, heavy farmer walks ect.. are the norm.

I train there for MMA though. The real guys there that compete are freakishly strong.
