Sounds like that was one of the armor-clad, hit your opponent more than he hits you type of deal. I prefer contests like the ones the Dog Brothers hosts.

Oh wow, I thought this thread died a long time ago.

Sorry stat, no equipment here. I'm still spending my money on stuff for BJJ. Need some no-gi clothing.

Looks cool, but it looks like it could be expesive to get into and a long time to learn (like any other skill). Not sure I would be interested enough for it.

Hmmm I wonder how Fencing and Kendo compare...?
