Ron Artest for Lamar Odom?

Might as well do it if you are the Kings...otherwise Artest bolts and the end of next season and they wind up with nothing for him. They could also wait until the season starts and see how things go. That way they could trade him before the deadline and possibly get more value...but that is a two edged sword because they may be looking at the best now and might regret not jumping at the opportunity. All things considered, I say go for it.

Ron regrets not opting out of his contract.

Not sure why the Kings would do this aside from clearing out $$

Odom only has 1 year left and Artest is the better player...the trade only makes sense for the Kings if it is not a straight up Odom for Artest

The Kings want to include Thomas in the trade (big salary to dump) with Artest. They won't do Artest for Odom straight up.

Not saying this trade is illogical, but Lakers fans are some of the most delusional when it comes to trading.

Yeah they are. Go check out RealGM forums and that will only back up this statement.

One of my good friends is a Lakers fan and all he does is send me text messages or IM's from work about dumbass trades that will never happen.

At one point, he had constructed a team with Odom playing the 1.
