***English Premier League Discussion 08-09***

Figured we needed one of these for the new season. Man United draw at home with Newcastle, Chelsea absolutely slaughters Portsmouth, and Torres is clutch. Tons to talk about after the first day of fixtures.

the united team that played against newcastle is not exactly the all star group
i'm interested to see how rodrigo possedon, rafael, and fabio play throughout this season

they might be mediocre like nani/anderson, but i surely hope not.
one of them's gotta be a jackpot

The glimpses I saw of Anderson made me think he is a huge talent, Nani well he oes have great technique sometimes but didn't have the impact Anderson had

he looked mediocre at best last season, plus i don't think he's making any headlines in the olympics as well
i really don't see this guy being able to take over scholes once he retires
but who knows, maybe he'll step up big time after all he's young as hell

i'm hoping that this whole berbatov deal is a diversion from the real deal: huntelaar
only time will tell, but in all fairness rooney-tevez-ronnie should be sufficient

Nice win for Hull, winning against Fulham. Maybe they can stay up.
