Things I remember about the XFL:
The "He Hate Me" name saved Rod Smart's career. Because of the distinction, he was given a second chance in the NFL. He eventually ended up as a kick returner on the Eagles...I have no clue where he is now though.
The over-the-shoulder camera angles were compleletly innovative and eventually imitated by the NFL.
I remember that there was a mini-uproar over the Memphis Maniax name and logo...due to it seemingly glorifying people with mental illnesses:
The first weeks ratings were huge, but a big blunder practically killed it in the second week. There was one game that went into OT and overran its timeslot...making Saturday Night Live not air in its entirity. The producers of SNL made a big fuss over things, and the XFL was never the same.
The opening dash was stupid, yet cool at the same time. As mentioned before, it caused many injuries.
Their superbowl was initially named "The Big Game at the End." Also stupid.
