My memory of the XFL is a cool one.

My dad was playing in a golf tournament with a lot of celebrities. In his group was marshall Faulk, and my dad took Faulk out to dinner one night. He called me and put Faulk on the phone. Mr. Faulk asked me what I was doing, and I told him I was watching football. He sounded confused and then I said it was the XFL, he laughed, and said, "Oh, I thought you were watching PROFESSIONAL football."

My other memory is the fact that they basically committed false advertisement with the Punt returns. They said there were no fair catches, BUT you couldn't be within 5 yards of the returner when they caught the ball.

I remember thinking to myself the way that they did the coin toss would eventually give someone a broken arm or a separated shoulder, and I was right.

I also remember the first game of the season; there were two games going on simultaneously. One was a boring blowout, the other was a close game. They refused to switch their national telecast to the close game.

Watching the XFL crash and burn was awesome, IMO.

I had season tickets row 2 at the 50 for the Orlando Rage. Don't know why the game attracted such idiots but they ruined it for actual fans.

Didn't Jesse Ventura do stupid hype work for it while he was still governor?

I remember Conan O'Brien randomly gave away XFL merchandise long after it was cancelled. Pretty funny.
