08' Preakness
Will we have a Triple Crow Winner this year? Here are the post positions.
1.Macho Again 20-1
2.Tres Borrachos 30-1
3.Icebad Crane 30-1
4.Yankee Bravo 15-1
5.Behindathtebar 10-1
6.racecar Rhapsody 30-1
7.Big Brown 1-2
8.Kentucky bear 15-1
9.Stevil 30-1
10.Riley Tucker 30-1
11.Giant Moon 30-1
12.Gayego 8-1
13.Hey Byrn 20-1
Big Brown drew an awesome post position and is by far the strongest horse in the field. Only he, and Gayego ran in the Kentucky Derby. Gayrgo finished 17th in the Derby, but had a terrible start which led the jockey to more less pull up and ride him in easy, knowing he would not hit the board. Gayego is much better then a 17th place finish and I would look for him to hit the board this time.
As far as the rest of the field, it is again a craps shoot. Behindatthebar won the Lexington Stakes and is a horse I hould throw behind Big Brown in a Trifecta. Lets hope there will be a rat(horse with high odds) to hit the board in this race so the trifecta will pay out a reasonable amount.
Any questions let me know, and I will try to help

Hasn't happened since Affirmed won in 1978 - doubt it very much...I hate chalk, so I'll go Yankee Bravo.

I would throw him somewhere in a trifecta, but his last two races have been a slight disappointment against top calibur horses. I wasn't on the Big Brown band wagon till after the derby(though I still bet on him), but he is very impressive and cocky, and I like that

Big Brown should eat Pimlico for breakfast really - Belmont might be another story @ 1&1/2 miles.

Agreed, That is where he may blow the crown. I think there will be more derby horses in the Stakes.

The pools would have to be ridiculous to warrant any kind of tri or super betting (key-wheel, box, whatever) because the takeouts will kill it - Preakness is the Fredo Corleone of the big three, so I won't be making any donations.

It may go up a little. But thats why you have to key him in a trifecta and throw 4 horses behind him, hoping a 20-1 or 30-1 horse hits the board to make any money. I will be atleast 2-1 at post I think.
