MLB Dream Team

If you could form a team with retired and/or current MLB players, who would you have at each position. Just for fun, would like to see the different combinations people use. Hopefully it wont all be the same.

I'm not asking who is the best player ever at each position, I'm just curious who YOU would have in your lineup.

Catcher - Jason Varitek
1st Base - Lou Gehrig
2nd Base - Ryne Sandberg
Shortstop - Alex Rodriguez
3rd Base - George Brett
Left Field - Barry Bonds
Center Field - Mickey Mantle
Right Field - Roberto Clemente
Designated Hitter - Ted Williams

Starting Pitcher - Nolan Ryan
Relief Pitcher - Dennis Eckersley
Manager - Bobby Cox

Batting Order

1. Roberto Clemente
2. Alex Rodriguez
3. Ted Williams
4. Barry Bonds
5. Lou Gehrig
6. Mickey Mantle
7. Ryne Sandberg
8. George Brett
9. Jason Varitek

Varitek over Piazza, Bench & Berra?

I'd also put Roberto Alomar at 2nd.

LMAO. I thought the same thing. Also i'm a little suprised some people taking A-Rod over the wizzard at shortstop. Must be for hitting reasons. Defense only, I don't know if I would even have A-Rod in the top 5
