Like to see the Red Sox resign Jason Bay as long as the price, and more importantly the years aren't completely ridiculous. If the Yanks (or anyone else) are willing to offer him 5 years at 17 mil a year, i say let him walk. But 4 years I'd do, i personally would like to keep it around 13 a year because even though the guy hit 36 homers, he only hit .267. BUT i understand overpaying him PER YEAR if you have to, what i don't agree with is giving him the additional years. Sounds like a good idea now but the same people that think the sox should give him 5 years probably thought it was a good idea when they gave Papi the extra years, or resigned Lowell. Seems like a good idea at the time, but towards the ends of those deals it really sucks.
Also I'd like the sox to trade for either Felix Hernandez OR Adrian Gonzalez. Both would be great but that would pretty much tear up the farm. Get A-Gon and move Youk to third, eat Papi's last year and DH lowell. Then lowell can spell Youk at third every once in awhile if necessary. Add that to Martinez at C/1B and you have GREAT flexibility in your IF.
Don't need to explain why i want Felix.
