Hunting is a sport, so we deserve a thread too.
Well deer season here in NY starts on the 21st of November, so that will be my first day. I dont bow hunt but everyone tells me it's alot of fun so I might have to try it next year.
Got two doe last year, hopefully I get one again this year so I can have some sausage made up and more ground so I can make chili.
Note: If your against hunting which I know alot of you are, please keep it to yourself or make another thread and complain about it there. No need to do it in this one, thanks.

So you track them and don't wait in a tree or blind? That's kinda sporty. I only hunt with a knife or bow....I prefer a fishing rod.
Good luck with the thread....Murder is a hunter.

murder is a person...not my view of hunting.
I'm all for hunting as long as you eat what you kill and apparently you do.

Yes, I do. Why hunt if you dont?
There is a huge Deer Overpopulation all across the US. It causes damage to crops and landscapes. Also, you know the number one animal that causes the most deaths in the US? Deer.
I dont go out and shoot bambi. Unless it's a nice size doe or buck, I wont shoot it. There was a time a nice size doe came across me with a fawn. Me knowing that the fawn would not survive without its mother, I left them alone.
The deer that I shoot, and 90% of other hunters, live a good long life.

The Doe population is pretty bad....the problem is dumb fucks shooting young bucks that look more like German SHepherds than deer. Kinda pointless.
I don't hunt but if I did it would be with a bow.

It is pointless but on the flip side, its very hard to tell exactly the size of the deer until you get close to it after it's already dead. Theres been so many times where Iv'e been with someone, or even myself, have shot a deer that looked like a nice size buck, only for it to be a button buck. It's not because we wanted to shoot one, it's just hard to tell sometimes.
