You must not watch every game, he is the only reason you are in the playoffs this year. He is a beast on the defensive end, and plays defense the right way and not selfishly like Camby, Dalembert, or any other player who only cares about getting blocked shots.
and the guy above me can laugh all he wants. The Celtics are going to have a hard time in the 2nd round even if they do win, while Detroit is going to walk through the Craptors or Dwight Howard and his team of Small forwards. The Celtics would have a good shot at a championship if Ray Allen wasn't clearly on the down-side of his career. He hasn't been an elite shooter since his 3 year span of amazing shooting from 2000-2003.
Here are my western conference picks
Los Angeles vs. Denver (Lakers in 4, all games by 12 points or more)
New Orleans vs. Dallas (this series pisses me off, I really hate Dallas and I think Dirk is the most overrated player in the league, but I see them winning this series).
3. San Antonio vs. 6.
Phoenix (this is going to be the best series in the first round. This easily could be the WCF, whoever wins this is going to walk through Dallas or NO. I go with Phoenix just because I love Shaq slightly more than Duncan, even though I think Nash is really overrated. Plus, I don't like how Horry only will play for championship contenders. Shaq always eats up Tim Duncan, so you go with the Diesel here. If Amare has to guard anyone who can score though, the Suns are in trouble because Amare is a terrible defender.
4
. Utah 5. Houston (this series will be funny because Utah is going to get blown out in their first away game. If Yao was healthy I would be picking Houston for the championship, but they will have to hope for next year.)
LA vs. Utah (Lakers, easily and quickly. Utah's only chance is if D-Will just abuses Farmar and Fisher to 30 ppg and 14 apg in the series. Gasol and Boozer off-set each other, and both are horrid defenders. Kobe will score just as much as D-will and set up just as many teammates. It will come down to bench depth, and I think the Lakers have Utah beat, but don't underestimate Milsap.
Phoenix vs. NO/Dallas (No one is guarding Shaq, and no one is guarding Amare. Chris Paul has eaten up Steve Nash throughout the season series, but look for Phx to slow down the tempo and run inside out through Shaq. Unless Chandler goes on a flopping fest NO has no chance. Dallas has no chance because Dirk will have to guard Amare, and that will be funny to watch.)
LA vs. Phoenix (great series, the series that the NBA is really hoping for. Kobe vs. Phx for the 3rd straight year. Kobe vs. Shaq for the first time ever in the playoffs. There is a small possibility Bynum might be back by this series, that will make it interesting. I'm still going with Kobe though, this is his year. First he is going to carry his team to a championship, and then he is going to carry Team USA to an absolute murder spree over the World in the Olympics. Anything less than that for Kobe is a complete failure on his part.)
NBA Finals
Detroit vs.
LAL (Will be an absolute stunning series of great defense and system offense. This series just comes down to the fact that Flip Saunders is an absolutely terrible coach. He will get out-coached, and his player/coaches in Sheed and Billups will not be able to overcome Phil Jackson. Kobe gets Finals MVP. Lakers in 5 or 6.)
