I'm still pissed about the Colorado refs giving the Wild 111 minutes in penalties.

Turco has carried that team since he became the starter in 2002, and not just in the regular season.

The guy is the only reason Dallas made it out of the first round at all in years past, 02-03, and besides a few tough outings against Colorado two years straight (which it didn't help with the poor offense the guy has) the guy has been solid both regular season and play-offs.

Hell, last year Dallas may have lost in the first round but if it weren't for him they would have got swept. 3 wins and 3 shut-outs for Turco, even their losses Turco gave up at 2 goals a game, save for the 4 in game 7. The fact Dallas couldn't score a goal to save their lives is the reason the Stars were outed last year in the first round, and years before.

It seems like its popular within Dallas fans and hockey pundits to criticize Turco's play for the reason that Dallas hasn't made it far in the play-offs in recent history, when in fact if it wasn't for him Dallas would be struggling to make the play-offs and perform half as well as they have in the post season. Dallas fans should be happy they have one of the top 5 goalies in the world on their team and have just now this season started to give him some offensive help.
