Staal is still only 19 though, and he is a big part of the overall picture. Don't know how he will react to this tonight.

I dont know if it was Don Cherry or Barry Melrose who actually brought up a good point about that goal.

Why was the goal line so faded and unclear?

Maybe it has to do with the crappy Mellon Arena with its warm indoor temperature and poor ice conditions, but there was almost a week before game 1 to get everything in proper shape.

As a huge wings fan. I can honestly say this i the best team we have had in YEARS.. When your 4th line makes the same type of impact of your 2nd line, thats ideal depth..

I think Kronner and Stuart get to big of a label as Physical D-Men.. Kronner is soft as grandma's choclate chip cookies.. Stuart is a tough cat, But no where near the way the media shows them..

Anyway i see dual sweeps in East and West.. Turco seems to be letting in EVERYTHING.. and Philly cant keep any sustained pressure what so ever.. Alot of it has to do with there horrible defensemen.. Even with Numm's and Coubourn there D, is by far one of the worst..

You mean the arena that's been up since 67 and is getting demolished in 2 years? They don't give a fuck about that ice.

Why not put sensors in the goalposts and goal line and something in the puck to turn on the red light? Jeeze every retail store has something like this to prevent theft. The NHL could definatly afford something more precise. By itself it wouldn't be the be-all-end-all but along with instant replay and the on and off ice officials it'd be a little more foolproof.

tough break for the flyers losing both Coburn and Kimmo, the series is lost without those two. With that said, I have to admit... sadly... and i kind of feel like I am dying inside saying this... the Pens look pretty good. I still say the West wins tho.

Agreed, the Wings are pretty stacked. It shows what a very well managed team can do. I can only wish that teams like Nashville or Columbus took notice of this.
