I think he'll get a game at the most. 1 game suspension in the play offs is a lot.

LOL @ me thinking the Stars would take this series.
Yeah that was a reactionary post immediately after I saw it, but I still think he should get 1 or 2 games. He should be suspended for the intent of the slash and not for the result. Osgood may have played it up, but he still intended on injuring a guy with a two handed slash to the chest/neck area, as noted by the ref giving a match penalty. If that stick is a couple inches up and hits Osgood in the throat and we are more talking about Ribeiro ever playing again in a Mcsorley type situation.

1 game atleast, cause I guess a 1 game suspension in the play-offs equals about 3-4 regular season games, but if he gets nothing thats just terrible. That seems to be giving the players the thought that as long as there is no injury then the rules need not apply.

What did Jamie Maclennan get last year for doing the same thing again?? I think he got 2 or 3 but can't remember exactly

If you think Ribero should be suspended, you're fucking kidding yourself.

Ribero should maybe get a fine, and that's it. Osgood flopped like a fish, that was a weak ass slash, and it was to the chest protector. Osgood likely didn't even feel it. This is hockey, not boy scouts. Stop suspending everybody over every little thing.

I don't think think he'll get a game, and I hope he doesn't. And for the record, I'm going for Detroit to win the cup.

Although I think the Wings will win, nobody is ever done in the playoffs until that last game is played.

Jamie Maclennan did the exact same thing to Detroit last year and got five games. Now he is obviously a back-up goalie and Ribeiro is one of Dallas' stars(lol) so he will likely get the benefit of the doubt and not get five games like Maclennan, but no suspension is stupid.

This may not be the boy scouts, but you can be as rough as you want within the rules. Ribeiro easily went over that line and should be punished for it.
