Half the people who are suddenly defending the Patriots will disappear once they lose a few/leave the Play-offs. Slaughtering a poor team doesn't show anything yet they're the uncrowned champions again.
We'll see if they actually DO still have it when Brady comes up against a top defence. Hard to throw on a secondary that doesn't just stand there with its mouth wide open, especially when the blitz is on and in the back of your mind all you can think about is that whole season you had to sit out last time.

Not me buddy.... and honestly, there are actually not that many Patriots supporters or apologists on Sherdog, so I'm not really sure what you or anyone else is talking about. In fact, there's more pathetic, ignorant, misplaced hatred of them than anything else. That's mostly because people like to bitch and whine.
As for the Patriots themselves? They were outplayed by the Broncos and Jets in both second halves... They outplayed the Bills the entire game and failed to execute in the red zone until the end of the game. They beat good teams in the Ravens and Falcons and smashed a totally discombobulated yet talented Titans team.
Their defense has been the exciting part for me. Clearly Belechick has once against managed to restock the unit with playmakers without having that one off year where everyone ages over night into grandfathers (see the in between year after they beat the Rams.)
Butler looks like a stud, as does McGowan and Merriweather. Combine that with the fact that Mayo is a beast and Guyton has also been tremendously impressive. Myron Prior and Brace have played well too. It's a young unit but highly athletic and over time it will gel into something more cohesive.
The offense has simply been rusty on account of Brady's poor throws in some pressure spots and also some receivers missing their reads from the line of scrimage. Give them time as well and they will click.
