And play injured for half the season with an injury that most players sit out large parts of a season with. Then put up the second best numbers in the NBA. Then spend all his free time helping the new lakers like Paul, meld with the team so you don't see any big problems like with the Cavs and Suns.

Kobe Bryant is the MVP and anyone who doesn't think he deserves doesn't know basketball.

True. Kobe has been playing with a torn ligament and fractured pinky finger in his shooting hand. That, in it itself, is pretty impressive.

Paul deserved it over him and I know basketball.

And he didn't have the second best numbers in the league.

LOL paul didnt deserve it more then kobe, and i guess the voters saw it that way too.

First place votes:

Kobe - 82
Chris Paul - 28
KG - 15
Lebron - 1

Kobe had 52 more 1st place votes.

and lol at the 1 lebron vote. He shouldn't have even gotten 1 1st place vote, but gotta live with them fanboys i guess

Because of the run of the mill "kobe deserved it before, these other players are young and will get it later, so lets give it to kobe now" attitude which makes this award a joke.

I'm not getting into this again, but CP3 definitely deserved it over Kobe. That 1 game difference in seeding is not enough to overlook how much more Paul means to his team, than Kobe to his.

Kobe deserves a career MVP, not this years MVP, that should have been C. Paul. Considering the teams they played for, the numbers they put up, Paul deserved it more this year. Regardless of the fact that Kobe played injured, that's admirable, but I'm sorry that doesn't make you any MORE valuable. A Lakers without Kobe would fair much better than New Orleans without C. Paul.
