If he played for a top 10 team, CJ Spiller would be the Heisman frontrunner.

He should be in the running for sure but career stats and pro potential have nothing to do with the Heisman.

You're correct, but I still think he's one of the top 3 players at least. Do you think Jimmy Clausen is a better player than Spiller? Heisman=popularity contest.

I think Clausen is overrated. Spiller is a helluva player and without a doubt is on the short list of best players in college football. I have him in the top 3 for Heisman.
no particular order
Ingram
Tebow
Spiller

He doesnt get near as much exposure as say Jimmy Clausen does at ND. Id put him in my top 3 as well. I think hes more impressive than Ingram. And i hate Jimmy Clausen so i cant give any rational reason why he needs to be anywhere near a heisman presentation. Unless he wins tickets thru ESPNs contest or something.
This years heisman is a crapshoot. I hope Ndonkeykong Sue wins it. Too bad Nebraska sucks.

i dont see how - his rushing numbers arent great, and if you wanna win the heisman on special teams, you better be doing something REALLY special - i dont think he is
spiller has 547 rushing yards (53rd in the nation) and 3 rushing tds (probably not even top 100)......his 9 total tds are good for only a tie at 21st in the country, with some other candidates above him (including ingram)
i just dont see how he is getting shafted - his numbers are far from spectacular

during the highlights portion of the abc halftime show one of the analysts said that he should be the heisman frontrunner. maybe he will be getting a little more consideration.

4th in the nation in all purpose yards...
But regarding his rushing stats, that goes back to "if he played for a better team". Just think what his stats would be if Clemson's Offensive Line was better this season.
