I pray the Heat don't pass on Beasley

I really think Beasley is going to be a monster in the NBA, but word is Riley has been making efforts to trade the #2 pick or even draft OJ Mayo at #2. I hope this is just the classic Pat Riley subterfuge because I'm in love with Beasley's game. There's really nothing he can't do on offense. He's like a slightly less explosive Carmelo Anthony with a better post game and better jump shot and a better rebounder. So he isn't considered a great leader? Well, that's what Wade is for. The Heat wouldn't need Beasley to be all these things his critics are saying he can't be. WAR Mike Beasley!!!

Give the Knicks your first pick for our entire team. I'd take it.

i don't know where this "he's not a leader" bullshit started. probably from some goon at ESPN whose job it is to find any flaw with every player, if it's made up. Beasley gave the team the confidence to play against other elite teams. before the year started, he said about KU, "we'll be them at our place, at their place, we'll even beat them in Africa." then on January 30th, number 2 ranked and undefeated KU comes to town, and Beasley leads the way with 25 points in a 9 point victory, the first against KU at home since the 80's. even though they did lose to KU in Lawrence by 14, he still put up 39 pts, 11 rebs, and 4 blks and kept k-state in the game. Miami needs to draft this kid because he's going to be awesome.

edit: also, his 23 and 11 against OJ Mayo and USC helped lead k-state to their first ncaa tourney victory in 20 years.

Miami needs about anything they can get right now. What a garbage ass squad this season. I am interested to see if they get beasly since Rose is trying his ass off to get on the Bulls even though i dont think they need him as badly as a post player. Heat might win more than 20 games if they get Mayo DeeeWaayne Wade and Marion all on the floor together

He would be an awsome fit for the Heat. I also think he would be a better fit for the Bulls but I can't see them passing up on Rose.
