Greatest Coach Of All Time - Bear, or Joe?

I was having a discussion with a coworker today (lol, it almost escalated to shouting, we are both serious college football fans). I think that Bear Bryant is the greatest coach in the history of college football; he was saying Joe Paterno.

Paul "Bear" Bryant
323 wins, 85 losses, 17 ties
6 national titles
*only coach to win national titles at 2 different division 1a schools (Nick Saban might do this soon)

Joe Paterno
389 wins, 128 losses, 3 ties
2 national titles

My buddy says Paterno, since he has the wins record. I say Bryant, since titles mean more.

That's another reason I keep saying Bryant - he had success at multiple places besides Bama (even going 11-1 with Kentucky 1 year).

I contend to this day that his Fiesta Bowl winning, undefeated Utah team could have beaten either team that was in the title game.
Plus two titles, likely soon 3, at Florida.
Oh and he made Bowling Green into the top team in the MAC when they were one of the worst.

I root hard against his teams, especially tebow, but the guy himself is a great fucking coach who actually outschemes as opposed to just being some philosopher king who gets credit for beating up inferior talent.
