Flyers Fans

I was just wondering if anyone had any information on the young minor league defensman that they have. How good are they and will they make any impact this year?

They are all majorly unimpressive, the one obtained from Edm has a chance of cracking the lineup next season or maybe this season if he shows up big time. Most of them will be callups however

Majorly unimpressive? I wouldn't say that much. Call ups, yes but they do seem to atleast have a future in the game. Guenin, Syvret (the guy from EDM), Bārtulis, and if you want to count Parent, have all shown they have the skills to make AT LEAST a 5-6 slot defensemen. And we can rest assured that they are at least better then Rory Fitzpatrick was for us last year in the 7th slot.

Patrik Hersley is the new Swede we (urg i hate using we when talking about a sports team...) picked up from L.A. I really dont know much about him. Tim Ramholt we picked up from the Flames the other day but hes probably a Phantom for the year since everyone else on the Phantoms seems better then him. Cant see him winning a call up.

But even then with our starters we have Coburn who is 23, Jones who is 25, Vaan who is like 26 or 27, Kukkonen who is 26 and Eminger who is 24. All very capable and young defensemen. Parent might start up there also and he is 21.

And then there's the Swiss guy we drafted, Luca Sbisa... We arent stacked at D like we are at forwards, something Homer is trying to fix now packing up all these AHL defensemen in the off season.

I didnt include Parent in my list because he will likely be in the 3-4 position this year. Ryan is a strud Coburn has also already proven he can be a #2 dman
