Something I feel thats worth mentioning, is that in my experience in life and especially in basketball............the very best players never seem to make it as far as they should have. The best basketball players I know, never played organized basketball, and some of the better ones that actually did get a chance to play organized ball were kept under wraps for various reasons, most of which were irrelevant to the actual game of basketball.

I'm the biggest Pistol Pete fan you'll ever find. Pistol Pete won the NBA HORSE contest way back in the day too. Pistol Pete was magic on the court. Still holds the NCAA scoring average with over 40pts/game and there was no 3pt shot. Pistol Pete is in my top 5 favorite NBA players ever to watch.
Anyone who doesn't know who Pete Maravich was, he was the Steve Nash of the 60s and 70s but possibly better because of the height. Here is the ultimate Pistol Pete Maravich HL. Enjoy for all those who never saw Pistol Pete
Wow, that video is poetry. Thanks for sharing.
