I have been playing for the last 18 or so months. Mostly of the time I play practice games like CCU(Cricket count up), Around the world, and 501.
I also like to play a game where you throw 100 darts at the 20's and count how many times you hit it. A single 20 is worth one point, double is 2, and a triple is obviously 3 points. So far my best is a pretty shitty 106. A perfect game is 300.
What brand of darts do you guys throw? Thinking of getting some new ones as the darts I have are too slick.

I love my darts.
I started a darts thread in here but it died on it's arse.
I mostly play 501. I play for my local pub and used to be the secretary then the captain of my old pub before I moved into town. I've only just started for my new team after a year looking for one so I'm a little rusty.
We play 6 singles matches (best out of 3, 501) and 3 doubles (best out of 3, 601)
We won our first two matches but lost last night.
Here's my darts:-
I've been through about 6 sets over the years and am finally happy with these. The way the grooves are cut means they never slip through my fingers.

Dunno what the proper name is, but generally I play 1-20 with friends.

Man you guys are going to have to tell me how to play some of these games like 501 and Around the World. I have a $10 dart board I got at Walmart. The darts started to fall apart and I bought 3 more darts that are of better quality. But for the most part I only know how to play Cricket.

301, you just throw the dart and try to "erase" your points, then go out with whatever you have left, if you have 14, then hit the 14 or double 7. same thing with a double in double out, you have to hit a double to start then a double to go out

That's pretty much it, there's a couple of things to note:-
- The bullsye counts as a double so you can finish on it. (note that only the inner bull (50) counts as a double. The outer bull (25) is just a standard number)
- If you end up with 1 or less then you have 'bust' and your score is reset to whatever it as before your turn. e.g. if you have 10 left and you go for double 5 but you hit double 20 then you have bust and will still have 10 left on your next turn.

Does your dart board have "baseball" on the back? I'm not sure how to play it, but mine has a little thing like that on the back.
