Chipper Jones is a great player and is definitely HOF bound. This is coming from a MEts fan. He is NOT THE greatest switch hitter of all time though. Let's get serious now and relax.

As to the guy that said he shows no signs of slowing down. Not true......he gets hurt a lot now, and is definitely starting to wear down. The guy missed the Mets series because he injured his back while getting dressed in his locker. Last year he said it hurt to take his socks off. The guy isn't going to be around much longer, but he can definitely still rake.

Yea he definately is slowing down, injuries have been bugging him, but he's only missed 2 games this year I think (and if its more than that its not many) so that's a good sign. I do think that if he has a couple more strong seasons, theres no reason not to put him as the 3rd best switch hitter of all time behind Micky and Rose.

chipper needs to stay healthy. we cant afford to have him hurt and missing too many games. the batting title is his for the taking.

He's a very good player. But he wont be remembered in 15 years. He's barely even mentioned now.
