Most Likely, but they will have to prove that it will appeal to the casual fan to make it work. Which is possible
That is the major hurdle in this plan! Average CFL fan would be in an uproar to the possibility of changing the Canadian rules. Personally, standardizing the rules would be a very small price to pay to cement the future of the CFL,and create year round sunday football!

I like the idea of interacting internationally, having more opportunity to play with our friends. I would even be open to arena ball if the CFL ever caved in.

It would mean giving up something unique though.
Yes there would be some sacrifice on behalf of CFL fans! But the teams would remain, and the rivalriies. The Grey Cup would have even greater impact in that it would garner more attention from the American sporting community!
