So what's everyone's opinion on fencing?
I think the sport is totally random.

Wouldn't mind trying it to be honest
Got to be good on the reactions.
OT
I saw escrima at seni over the weekend. I'm sure they were very good and pros...but to be honest it looked like people having fits with sticks in their hands wailig away for 20-30s (either way they were very tired by the end)

I think so. You have to minimize the risk of injury, otherwise there's no point in even doing fencing.

Fencing looks pretty damn cool. Tactics, parrying, countering, its like a very well planned battle. Also requires speed, dexterity, etc. I think it would be a pretty cool hobby/sport to get into.

Make sure you stick to restricted movements aswell - possibly with the use of machines.
