The reason why Team USA is bad for the fans is because they are expected to win by a landslide. What would you rather watch, a close, competitive game or a blowout? What fun is watching a team win by 40 points night in and night out?
If Team USA fails to win, everyone complains about how they should have dominated the competition by 40 points per game.
No one is happy and thats why they should send the college kids. Let a guy like Calipari coach a team with Beasley, Michael Rose, Hansbrough, O.J. Mayo, etc. At least these kids are coachable, unlike NBA players like Allen “It’s only practice” Iverson. What did his Olympic team do?
I actually gained alot of respect for Allen after those Olympics. He said alot of nice things about his teammates and representing Red White and Blue.

that had nothing to do with Allen Iverson, it had to do with Stephon Marbury being the starting PG for the Olympic team. That team was doomed to failure because they had no point guard or even a point forward.

Dirk is not "extremely talented" he is the most overrated player in the league. Look at his TS% and his outside shooting. He is just an above average shooter, yet not great shooter. He is a gimmick. There is no reason he should be shooting on the outside when he is not an absolutely great shooter. People just love him because it is a 7 footer who shoots 3s and is white. He is the single reason why the Mavericks will never win a championship, because he is nothing more than a 3rd option on a championship team. The only difference between Zach Randolph and Dirk is height, and the fact that Randolph still rebounds.
Seriously, you've shown that you don't know anything about basketball. To compare Nowitzki to Randolph is a joke. Randolph hasn't done anything in his career and his stats doesn't even stand up to Nowitzki. Randolph is shooting a career FG of 46.5% while Nowitzki's is 47.1%. Their career 3pt% 26.6% and 38% respectively. Their career rebound averages are 8.1rebs and 8.6rebs respectively. Their FT% are 77.4% and 87% respectively and their blocks are 0.3 and 1.1 respectively. I don't think we even need to talk about their PPG.
So Dirk shoots a better FG%, shoots a much better FT%, a much better 3pt%, averages more boards and more blocks...yet Dirk is no better than Randolph? Come on. Yea, Dirk flops but don't deny him his talents. Some homers and haters are so ridiculous.

The flopping is bad in the NBA but not as bad as in soccer...yet. The European and especially the South American players are the cause of the flopping syndrome, now many Americans have started doing it too. I hate it and I wish there was some way to stop it but it seems ingrained in the NBA game now.
The Best at what they do:
Anderson Varejo
Dirk Nowitzki
Vlade Divac
Ginobli
Bowen
I hate flopping with a passion. Although I am a fan of Manu Ginobili who is one of the worst. I remember Jeff Hornacek that used to be on the Jazz was the worst of all time. I still hate that guy. It's such a pussy move IMHO.
You beat me to it Ginobili is a terrible just the slightest contact and he goes flying across the court.
