The won 1996 also, they rarely have a bad tournament no matter how much they are written off by the press.

An amazing history indeed.

I like the Germans. Their fans (generally speaking) are humble and friendly. They have a military like precision about the way they play football. Also they seem to have ice in their veins when it comes to penalties, something the English definitley lack.

That said I want Spain to win tonight. They went through the tougher side of the draw and have not won anything in sometime

It would be good to see Spain win something, they are very much a nearly team and always seem to fall short.

Yeah thats right, Spain have produced so much talent but never amount to the sum of their parts. If they turn up and play like they can tonight they will win

Thats the thing with the Germans though, they seem to have a way of making the flashy teams underperform and just wear them down. I actually thought they would beat Brazil in the 2002 final, but that was one time when it didnt work for them.

That's true, also they seem to be able to step up their game to meet their opponents quality. I'm looking forward to the final tonight although am not looking forward to the break in all football for a month or 2 following it!

They would have won if Ballack played but he got a yellow in the semi, he knew waht he was doing, he knew that a yellow would make him miss the final but he did it for the team

I kinda like that

I''ll cheer for Spain if Cesc starts otherwise I hope Germany wins because I bet some money on them

I love germany, they are known for that defiance, always giving everything they have to reach a goal.

They can be too serious though which is not good.

I had a german friend that came to brasil for a month, he stayed for 6 month, going from south bahia to Belem, capital of Para, it is like 3 thousand km thru the coast, hundreds beaches.

He came back to Germany and could not work anymore, he had to go to shrinker to set his time again ... lol ...
