Anyone else admire the defiance of the Germans??

I really like them for it, everyone calls them boring, robotic, uninspired, overly efficient and soul-less. Yet, time and time and time again they scrap their way to the latter stages of major football tournaments, winning often and beating the flashy teams in the process, defiantly letting their playing do the talking and ignoring their detractors, who's teams either don't qualify for said tournaments, or who underperform and don't get very far in the tournaments.

Germany, well played, I for one hope that once again you defiantly win this tournament and silence all the critics with some efficient and hard working German football.

Germany FTW!!

It helps when your players are 5 feet taller than your opponents. If you give them a free kick/corner you are fucked.

Bastian Schweinsteiger has the coolest-sounding name ever.

Yeah, Germany always slagged because ....why? Because they win? Germany are good. At least they attack and score goal, which is more than a lot of teams.

People dislike their culture in Europe and like to make fun of them, I dont know why, their humour is quite an acquired taste and its different than say Irish or British humour, but so what, its a different culture, it doesnt mean they should be ridiculed. Ive met a lot of Germans in my time, some are very stereotypical, some were the best folks Ive met, like everywhere it has good and bad.

A lot of it is a bit of an inferiority complex too from some of the euro countries I think, Germany is a cool place with an amazing history and some of the greatest people in every field have come from there.
