Gotta story for you.

Playing 3/6 limit at California Grand Casino. Its 5 am been playing about 20 hrs. I got one hand before I'm big blind so I decide its my last hand.
Catch pocket queens. I raise, 3 players fold, 1 guy raises, everyone else folds, I cap, he calls.
Flop comes A,A, rag. I check, he bets I figure I'm beat but I call(last hand).
Turn comes rag. I check, he bets, I call.
River comes A. Now I know he gots quads. I check, he checks and shows A,J.
I'm bout to muck when my buddy says what you got . I show my queens and everyone starts yelling. I forgot they had a $5,000 bonus if you lose with aces full of jacks or better.
Collected my 5 grand and hit the bar! Woooooooooo!

lol damn nice. i wish i can get lucky like that. i just flat out run horrible.

I play here at the local Detroit casinos once in awhile. I prefer Vegas though, go there about 3 times a year. Mostly play at the Bellagio, 2-5 NL game, also play at MGM, Ceasers, and Mirage. My last time out in October I won a $100 160 person tournament at Binions for $3500.

Thats awesome, I'm surprised the bonus is only 5gs though. Here in Red Deer if a bad beat like that happens, a collective pot (that caps at 20gs) is split. The guy who lost the hand get 1/2, winner of the hand get 1/4, and the rest of the table splits whatever is left. So max totals is 10gs for loser, 5 for winner, and $625 for every other player

I enjoy poker, I play some online jsut tourneys for the fun of it, I have tried a couple of times to take it to another level in cash games but I end up loosing the bankroll I have gatherd thru grinding in sit and gos and low level cash games

I don't have the patience

Play a weekly game with mates, we have a long standing accumulative tourney and cash games, sometiems we take roadtrips to play at poker clubs (I do pretty well at those)

Well thats the small bonus. They got a big bonus for quad 8's or better beat. That starts at
70 grand and builds $200 a day til someone hits. I was in the room when a guy from minnesota hit for $135,000.
He was visiting family and had never played poker. He was with his cousins taking shots at the bar, got drunk and decided to throw some money away at the tables. Next thing you know, "WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER!!!"

I play as high as 3/6 nl holdem. I have accounts on fulltilt and pokerstars but haven't played much since pokerstars stiffed me for $600.

Wow thats some luck, geeze wish I could get that sometime. I figured there would be a larger bonus, just thought even the small bonus would be atleast the size of the one in Red Deer, cause well large disparity in size between cities.

I had a bit of money on pokerstars and decided to cash out $600 of it to use on my vacation. Pokerstars said they mailed the check out but i never received it. I kept emailing them and all they offered was their condolences.

I play much better live anyways and prefer it to playing online. I tend to not focus as much when playing online.
