just wonderin if im the only mma/poker nut in this forum. seriousl poker, i mean as in playing online or live. either cash games or tourneys or both. im a low limit poker player, i play NL 1/2 and pot limit omaha .50/1 im trying to build a big enough bankroll where i can make around $3000-$4000(gonna take awhile) after losses so i dont have to work for anyone forever.lol anybody else out there on the same quest for freedom, fame, and money? i play at pokerstars and sometimes live at commerce in l.a. holla back my fellow cardplayers.

I like playing poker, but I guess I am more recreational. I play occasionally online in $10 Sit & Go tourneys, and $1-$2 NL, along with live games at the local casino $1-$2 NL and such. Actually played a little tourney last night, $56 buy in, winner took home a little over $1000, I got 3rd and took home $500.

I tried to get serious into poker because I love to gamble, but I just dont have the patience or cool minded temper to play. I stuck to Black Jack. Its fst paced and you can stop whenever you want.

The best teacher is experience. Go to pokerstars and get a play money account. Use that to learn the basics. Then start playing in small money games. I think pokerstars has .50/1.00 or even smaller. Then start working your way up.
#1 rule is patience, patience, patience. Dont try to win everything every hand. Small bets mean small losses.

dang quick, u make me wanna move next to caesars palace lol but i agree that live play in those limits are pretty loose and tons of fish. same at commerce, blinds are 1/3 NL and u can only buy in for $100. but half the donks raise to like $15 to $20 preflop andim like wtf? im all in if i come over the top lol then the guy calls u and shows K 2 offsuit lol
pancho: nice finish. ive never cashed anywhere near that. but i dont play tourneys that much. one time i won a $2000 cash game pot(i was on tilt and went to the higher tables, i know i shouldnt)
darth: i agree with pancho, pokerstars is the best site for learning. they also have the best tourneys online. but if you're gonna one day deposit money. you might want to try fulltilt poker since they give a 100% bonus up to $600(if u deposit $600 and play enough hours without going broke, u can get $600 for free) plus they have rakeback(too long to explain pm me if u really want to know wut it is lol)
