Love to fish. Like crappie in the spring and bass the rest of the year. I also hit the river with worms and catch cats, gar and drum.

I am headed for rathbun lake near centerville Iowa come memorial day. Hope the crappie are hitting hard. The lake I live on is full of 10 -12 inch crappie. I once caught an 18" crappie. I hope to get to MN to fish this year also.

Whats your favorite lake ?

My brothers and I used to go down to the local lake and catch bass and rainbow. If it was decent size, we'd gut it and cook it.

I really wish I could do that again. it's not like it cost money, so I dont know why I dont go anymore.

I love fishing. I am one of the least patient people I know, but when Im fishing, I can be out there for hours. Same with hunting. There is just something so calming about being away from the "real world" and being in nature.

I mostly fish for bass and occassionally crappie, but last year I went trout fishing for the first time and loved it and Im going 3 more times this year. Oh, and catfishing is great too, but catfishing with friends is really just an excuse to sit outside and drink beer.

What?

I think that is the biggest reward out of fishing, eating what you catch. Imagine that you live out on the wild and you depended on the fish you catch.
