All Star Selections

OK, i'm a diehard sox fan, but Varitek isn't an all star this year. Anyone else you guys think shouldn't have made the team? Who was left off that should have been on the team?

PS, i hate fan voting. If you're going to make the game count for home field advantage then figure out a better selection system...

yea. His skills as a catcher are never in question, but he is having a rough year with the bat.

I'm still trying to figure out how Miguel Tejada and Christian Guzman both get in over Jose Reyes

How does Aramis Ramirez get in over David Wright...i know Wright is a final vote selection, but he's having a better year.

As if they didn't have enough fuckin Cubs in the All Star Game. Fukodome doesn't even belong there.

Christian Guzman is the Nationals only representative. Wright and Garrett Atkins shouldve been picked over Aramis Ramirez.

you're right.....but John Rauch should have been their rep instead and could have gone instead of Brian Wilson....Brian Wilson??!!!

I'm just getting tired of the deserving players getting snubbed and guys like Varitek, Jeter, Fukodome getting the nod instead. These games are determining home field advantage now. it's not a meaningless exhibition anymore.

I'd rather see Matt Holliday at the plate with bases loaded and two outs then Fukodome..gimme a break.

Now that I think of it, I actually dont mind if some shitty AL players make the All Star team because I dont want the YankMes to get home field advantage in the World Series. It's about time the NL wins one.

normally I don't give a fuck about all star games, and normally I don't give a fuck about baseball, but when you have an all star game that has a SIGNIFICANT impact on who will win the world series, you need to take away fan voting and player voting. Both make retarded decisions that aren't good for the game.

Anyone else think Brandon Phillips was a snub? The guy is hitting .292, 14 HRs, 56 RBIs, 18 steals, and one of the top defensive second basemen in the game, if not the best with only one error this season. The only reason he's not in the game is because he's a Red and lets face it the Reds suck.
