So im really out of the loop when it comes to things like this. Ive recently come across videos of Ice t and snoop dogg dissin soulja boy. Where its mostly about the older rappers lecturing soulja boy (the younger rapppers). Ice t goes on to say he respects certain rappers and he doesnt respect others.

I was just wondering if anyone knows the general conesensus of other rappers opinion of eminem.

ive heard nothing but good from guys like rakim, and the older rappers. he seems to have respect as far as i can tell. he's not my cup of tea, but i dont dislike him or anything

I think Eminem is respected because he went about it through proper methods and he has talent. Many people may not know this but Eminem is very good at freestyle battling. He also has a very unique way with lyrics and he has an overall good delivery.

I'm not a huge fan of his but I respect him alot more than the newer artists I see out there, that rely on bass heavy beats or are very one dimensional lyrically.

Wow he gets props from rakim? Eminem should be flattered. Its odd, when Em first came out, i didnt think much of him, now that hes retired ive been waiting for someone to fill in his shoes -- lyricaly, because lets be honest, he had some great lyrics. Not beats, but lyrics.

i dont know what oher rappers think about him.... but what i think is that he wouldnt have made it if he wasnt white. dont get me wrong.... the boy has talent.... but he raps about a bunch nothing. rapping about killing your wife and smaking it on the floor doesnt really catch my attention.

when i listen to rap i get embarrased for the folks. its a freaken cartoon freak show but far be it from me to tell folks what music to listen to. i hear them speakers booming in a car driving by sounds like the doors are gonna fall off i wonder what the hell happend to this fella to make him such a piece of dirt. thats the whole story
