Man...now my throat hurts. Reminds me of a couple of times growing up when my dad (a career soldier) returned from some deployment. Seen quite a few of those in after that.

You're right. You should track that kid down and tell him in person that he has no business loving his father or being happy that he's home alive, safe and sound, because daddy is a professional murderer who takes Iraqi mommies and daddies away from their kids. In fact, he should be ashamed of himself for managing to reach the age of 6 without learning to appreciate the profound moral and ethical complexities and contradictions of war.
Oh, and while we're at it, which Ouija board did you goys confer with to get the inside scoop on the mans' MOS and his role in the war? According to the video, the man was an Ensign in the Navy, so unless he's a Navy SEAL or was in charge of a group of Gunners' Mates on a warship I'd venture a guess that it's likely never fired a shot in anger at anyone unless they were trying to kill him. In addition to killing insurgents, our troops are also involved in rebuilding the infrstructure of the country, getting the electricity working and the water running (even as the gallant Iraqi insurgents try and wreck them when they aren't busy sawing the heads off of civilian workers and blowing up their fellow Iraqis), and tending to the sorry state of healthcare in Iraq.
If the kids' dad was responsible for killing insurgents before they could take their fellow Iraqis away from their kids for committing the crime of standing in close proximity to US troops or belonging to a different synod of Islam (two thing insurgents have stated justify their attacks) or cutting out the middleman and killing Iraqi children taking candy from US troops (as has happened) does the kid in the video still deserve to be happy to see his old man after he spent 7 months overseas in harms' way?
