One side claim Liu Xiang has been shooting up commercials and doing promotion for his sponsors when he was suppose to be training. It was also claimed that Liu Xiang didn't stary training until 3 weeks before his big day, so he wasn't in shape to beat anybody. Instead of shaming himself, he faked an injury to bow out.
The other story is that he did suffer an injury, because he pulled out of a competition on May 31 this year due to the same injury in his foot and didn't bother with doing a proper surgery because he was training hard.

The blonde chick during the Steeplechase was even worse. She fell on a hurdle and stood up and collapsed at least 2 times. it was like a fighter that got flash KO'd trying to stand up after the ref ended the fight... hilarious.
