the cop sat there and told the lady get out of the car and "get off the cell phone or you will be tased" like 20 times, at that point, the woman deserved it. he gave her the option she chose the "stay on the cell phone and get tased" option. not the cops fault she's an idiot.
and no running from the police isn't a capital offense, but the cop will chase you if you do. and in this particular night it ended up with the cop accidentally running over the guy, too bad for that idiot. the more the guy ran, the more obviously the cop was going to chase the guy. what if this guy was just finished stabbing someone? what if he just finished robbing someone? what if he just finished raping someone? or what if he was going to stab someone? what if he was going to rob someone? what if he was going to rape someone? those are all reasons a cop will chase someone who runs away from them.
do you expect the cops to just be like "alright this woman isn't listening to my commands to get off the cell phone, i tried, so i'll just let her go." or "ok, this guy is running away when we try to stop him, i'll just let him go" seriously? is that what you expect cops to do?

First off, if they can't identify the body ... how in the hell do they know he is 16?
Secondly, totally disagree with the "if you run anything is fair game" arguments.
If he ran him over, he was following too close. Street bikes don't go that fast.
Prediction:
It was an accident, cop is cleared.
Family sues, gets money.
Cop has nightmares for the rest of his life.
Tragedy for everybody.

Disagree.
They are cops, not Gods. Unquestioning blind obedience is not required, nor does it carry a reasonable expectation of death.
They do have prerogatives according their position, and lawful orders should be followed.
Walking out of a courtroom after being sentenced requires a guilty plea or a trial to have taken place. I still wouldn't expect a fatality under those circumstances.

you act like the cops told them to suck their dicks or something. the guy was suspicious looking, they tried to pull him over, he ran, they chased, they accidentally ran him over.
next time a cop tries to pull you over in your car, do me a favour and run from them. then when the cops arrest you tell the judge "they're only cops, unquestioning blind obedience is not required of me" see how that works out for you.
ffs, they tried to pull a guy over the guy ran, and you people are trying to spin this like the dead guy was in the right and the cops were in the wrong for chasing down a guy who runs from them.
seriously people, what would you d if you were a cop and you try to pull a guy over on a bike who takes off? and don't just respond "i wouldn't kill him that's for sure" because the cop obviously didn't wan that to happen
