Hey guys, not sure if you pay attention to this thread anymore but what file should I save it as to preserve both the quality as well as give the video a nice download size?

avi files usually have nice quality, but saves in ridiculous file sizes.

wma files have reasonable download size, but fuzzes up both the sound as well as the video.

Thanks in advance if you respond.

Apparently MKV is the new container of choice. Only prob is it is new so computability is a minor prob for newbs.
I will always say stick with Divx avi. bro.
There are plenty of cheap standalone dvd players that will play all divx and associated video and audio codecs for when you want to show your TUF friends who Shogun or Fedor really are on your big screen.

Was reading through thread again and I haver learned a couple things since helping the wife make some HL type stuff out of video and pictures.

First step
Get your hands on tons of media. all kinds of the fighter or fighters you are going to use. Any type of format. avi wmv dvd (vob sub) MP3 wma jpeg .Anything

Second
Find a song that makes you think of MMA or a particular fighter. aka Furious angels probably started out as a song first and added video to it not the other way around. That's just a guess but whatever.

3 Get Ulead video studio anyway you can and fart around. This program will take any media, and I mean any including Vid cam, Avi dvd any type of pick or music format....Anything and just add markers while you F with it. When you got what you want it will encode it into any type of media language you want from DVD to Wmv etc. It has some cool effects and is easy to navigate and convert (change) the timing so you can get that Left high kick timed perfect to the beat or particular strong point of the music you are using.

Go on youtube and watch various movie trailers. Since you will most likely be making MMA highlights, think about action movies that have good instrumental music in them. Then, ask around on what the songs are called, or check the soundtrack on Amazon. Amazon usually provides sample clips of songs. That's what I do. You could also just download random instrumental songs until you find one you think suits your highlight video.

One last thing, please, refrain from using Requiem for a Dream lol. That song's good, but overused. Try to use songs that aren't used in a lot of highlight videos. It will make your highlight video unique, and more interesting.

vsp is just the project file, you have to go to "share" and click "create video file" and then choose whatever format you want to make
