i was still in mexico when he was at the prime of his career, so i of course grew up to greatly respect him. i dont know why he doesnt any respect from the US boxing critics though. every time they talk about great boxers of our time or great boxers period, theres no mention of him. because i grew in mexico and know how corrupt the country was and still is i have to somewhat question is record. that being said, the man had talent and should be recognized as one of the greatest boxing champs.

chavez is a legend, but meldrick taylor was robbed he should of not been stopped with 2 seconds left in the final round. Meldrick was never the same after that.
Chavez jr his son is 6 feet 2 inches tall will probally wind up at 160 and fought last saturday he is tough just like his pops great body work. too.
I do think that sometimes he is excited or winded from body shots. He has a huge drive to win - and when he sees an opening he puts everything he has into it.
