Transitions and FX

Some version of Ulead Gif Animator have just a few effects and transitions:

MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service

In that link you'll find a .zip folder, decompress it (with winrar,winzip,7zip or your program for .zip files) and you'll find 2 folders inside the ulead stuff one: vft_plug (transitions) and vfx_plug (effects).
Copy all the files in the vft folder inside the vft folder of your ulead(you'll find it in your hard drive-->ulead gif animator--->vft),you can also overwrite the files(transitions) you already have.
Do the same with the fx folder and you'll have all the transitions and fx of my ulead gif animator version.

How do I insert a logo and text into a gif without it fading out? I want it to stay on for the gif's whole running time.
If the logo it's a picture you have to duplicate it the for the number of the frames of the gif and then add it (file-->add image)
The "still" banner text effect sucks, so you have to cheat it...
Select the same colour for text and the neon, in the "neon" dialog match the box "glow" then width=99, direction= inside.
Select the write effect "still" , and use it as your "enter scene" and "exit scene".

If it's like that, you have to open a picture of the color you wish as a border, insert the gif in this background -->file-->add image-->insert in the current frame(flag the box "distibute to individual frames...").
Click on the fist frame of the added gif, move it wherever you prefer-->right click on the inserted frame--->distibute to frames.
This will lock all the frames of your added gif in the same position on the background.
Then you only have to crop the canvas of the border untill you don't find the right size of your border.
It may look like a lot of job,but it's easier than what it seems!
Btw if you learn this process you can start to create gifs with little gifs in it, like these :

Rather than clicking and moving the gif, you can just adjust the alignment of it using the buttons at the top near the menu bar. This way you are sure you're getting a perfectly even border.

Yeah, but i've never had a good feeling with that option, it doesn't work very well for me (or for my version of Ulead gif animator).

eh roberto

I downloaded this week's TUF, and found a part I wanna gif
but when I load the section (I split is using easy video splitter, since loading a 45 min file would take a long time) all frames are the same (as the first one)
nothing animates

With ulead gif animator you can load just the part you need for the gif, file-->open video--> click on "duration"
