good pics. on a side note, if you want some critique...

consider changing your logo. don’t know if you designed it yourself or had someone do it, but the logo takes away from the pictures. I actually like your verbiage, and the identity name, but the font is pretty gross, and the breakaway effect takes away from the importance of the logo.

consider making it smaller, with a solid font, maybe put it in a box, or on top of a solid colored bar. this would make it applicable to any picture and still be readable. putting a drop shadow to make it contrast from the picture also takes away from the logo. this is your branding, and the most important thing about your company, you want it to be perfect.

don’t take this the wrong way, not trying to be a typical Sherdog know it all. just some constructive criticism from a graphic designer with 6+ years in the industry, figured I would try to help you out.

Hey- I always appreciate feedback. No offense taken.

Feel free to link or post an example of your idea. As it stands, I don't have or even know how to use illustrator. I'm doing everything in photoshop.

Completely agree. Even using a semi translucent logo could work.

I was going to say something jaded and cynical but the photos are too good and I can't bring myself to do it.

this is also a good idea. the thing is, every picture will be different and have different colors involved. its hard to come up with a branding that will compliment and be readable on all pictures. on some of the ones you have above, the logo could have worked, it just needed to be placed in a different position.

logos definitely need to be designed in Illustrator or another vector based program.

if you want, i will tinker around with some ideas when i have time and maybe come up with something that will work better for you. i usually charge about $250 for a logo, but i will be willing to help a fellow Sherdogger out. i'm always needing images to design with and like your photography, maybe we can work a little trade.

i'll see what i can come up with in the next few days. PM if you have anything in mind.

BTW, what do you shoot with? SLR Digital, 35mm? i try to take a lot of my own pictures to work with, but dont really have the time or know how to dive into photography. i get by, but just like everyone with Photoshop is a Graphic/Web Designer, everyone with a decent camera thinks they are a photographer. haha
