Wanderlei Silva's Greatest Hits DVD

This is a collection of eight of Wandy's pre-UFC/Pride fights. I would recommend this only for hardcore Wandy fans. If you are one of those fans you've probably already seen these fights online somewhere anyway. The fights weren't as exciting as I was hoping for but being a Wandy fan I still enjoyed it. This DVD is very much homemade. There is no translation/sub-titles for Silva or any of the other fighters, which kind of sucks because I would like to know what is said in the pre-fight interviews and in Silva's corner during one of the matches. The special features include things most Silva fans have already seen. Some training footage that was copied straight from the computer, there are very large pixels present making it hard to watch. The Gilette shaving commerical with Mark Coleman, 2 bonus fights one of these also with a bad pixel problem. If you haven't seen Wand's early fights then it's a good pick-up just to see where he came from. If you aren't that into him then I don't recommend it. Keep in mind this DVD is homemade, there is no commentary and nothing fancy at all. You have fights and special features. Also, don't buy too much into the "Kicks and Knees to Face" part of the title of this DVD as the fights are not as brutal as was expected. A good watch for true Wand fans that want to see some early stuff. I enjoyed it. Hope this review is helpful to anybody looking to get the DVD. If you have a Netflix subscription you can pick it up off of there and save yourself a little cash. Just a heads-up!
