lol-- appreciate the den mother nod.

DEFINITELY do the presoak in the tub w/ vinegar. Be careful of adding vinegar to your normal wash henceforth-- I usually base further vinegar addition to how the gi seems to handle repeat washings. If it's fading out easy, I'll add vinegar occasionally. If it seems to be staying put, I don't.

Important-- if you're using a detergent with baking soda in it (arm and hammer, for example, here in the states), do not be adding vinegar. chemical interaction bad juju.

also, from my experience, wash temperature can affect fading. I try and wash in cold/cold, unless my gi is just exceptionally funkay.

looks like a handsome gi, this. hope you get back on the mats real soon, foz.

Ok, still fairly a NewB to BJJ, but what determines if a gi is legal or not legal?

I have a sweet Lucky, but it has my old gym's pathces and embroidery on it. I feel it would be in bad taste to wear it to a comp...especially when the old gym will be there as well. Yellow being my favourite colour, I was really thinking about this gi.

Yellow is not allowed in IBJJF (like Pan Ams or Worlds), or people who use those rules. I am not sure about smaller shows such as NAGA or GQ.

I have a friend who has one of these yellow Vulkans. It sears your eyes.

I'd consider getting one myself and matching it with my purple belt, enabling me to go on a brutal fashion rampage.
