Could you tell me the how much of a difference the material is compared to a Padilla and sons gold weave. Softness?? Thickness of collar?? Thickness of gi top material?? I don't care so much about weight, but about thickness of the material.

I ask 'cause I have a atama summer and HATE it. It is just too thin, collar is nice and thick but the material itself is horrible, like an old school karate/tkd gi.

the vulkan is alot thinner by comparison, the collars are not too much different. The padilla's colar is thicker, as is the overall top but that makes it heavier.

It might be too thin for you (the vulkan).
