Money you could've saved towards the newer ones.

Not saying the heatseekers are bad, just providing a reason why people would feel that's kinda sleazy.

edit: Nameless pretty much one upped me though, but in any event still good gloves for the price they were being sold at

The way I see it, they're gloves from a company that focuses a lot on style, so you can expect them to change the looks of their gear every now and then. I don't know about you guys, but when I buy a pair of gloves, I intend to use them for years, and not get new ones every year just because a new type came out. I could care less that there's a new style coming out for most likely the full price of the originals.

And if a glove can't last at least 2 years of constant use(along with proper care and treatment), then in my opinion, they're no better than cheap low end vinyl gloves.

Also, just throwing this out there, but I like the 3 tone(black/red/white) look of the black Heatseekers, over the black/red of the 2.0's. ;)

I can get them for 40 at both sites still, the HNL's are 80 on both.

Agreed, I'm curious what new modifications the heatseekers have made though, but I'm really more interested in the winnings-esque headgear >:o!

Haha, yeah, it changed again. And strangely enough, the Title Classic Leather Super Bag gloves went down to $19.99 last night and they're back at $29.99 again. Weird.

Update on the gloves. They still kick ass. 2 training sessions a day 5 days a week and I love these gloves. My personal favorite training gloves by far. The padding has softened up a bit but other than that it's still thick and protective and everything just feels molded like a cast.

I picked up 4 yards of 3/8" elastic lace today. They were out of white, so I had to go with black, but it actually looks pretty nice. Surprisingly works very well, and I am actually able to get the gloves on myself while they're tied up and still get a good fit, compared to laces where I can either get them on and have a very lose fit, or take 10x longer to get them on and have an ok fit. I'm only using 1 yard per glove and tie them off at the bottom. Will use the hook and loop converters with them once they show up.

Actually, thought about this some more and the elastic lace and lace covers might be the best way to go...

I wonder how tight they are? I'll have to order some the next time around.

I found the converters needed to be broken into a bit but I found them very useful for me. Take pics of your elastic idea so we can see how they come out.

Tried to embed but failed at embedding. The TU website has Razor Rob using the new TU Heatseeker gloves, they look the same except for the logo but I'm sure the foam padding has been updated a bit.

I just got a pair of the Laced ones and some Title Hook and Loop Converters.
Gloves are very nice.
There is some substantial padding on the front of the wrist and pad of the Thumb.
Nice protection for catching parrying punches.

The Converters work....but there are some sharp edges.
Will experiment but I think you would want to install them so the edge of the Velcro wrap is on top of your wrist as opposed to the bottom.
Less scratching for sparring partners that way.
