Stand for a Thai Bag?

Hey guys

I live in a rented house, so I can't do anything to the wall. I was wondering if anyone uses a stand-alone stand for a muay thai bag from ko? Is there something I can buy that is reasonably price, less than 200? Or is there something I can build that will fit the bill? Thanks guys for your help.

Where are you putting the bag? If in the garage, are there exposed rafters? In my experience the stand-alone bag holders are not very good and don't allow much movement for you around the bag so I would try to find an alternative if possible.

My bag currently hangs in my garage. I just attached it via a ceiling bag mount to the rafters through the drywall. I am planning on building a large structure in my backyard for a gym and the bag will be moved. I can easily patch the garage ceiling and make it look good as new when the time comes.

Or just get a wall hanger and fix the wall if you move. If you don't fix it, well that's what a security deposit is for.

well, I might be moving to an apartment. So, If anyone has any suggestions from something that they use, let me know. My roommate is in the construction business, so i guess he can just patch up the holes in the wall. The studs won't have a problem holding up a 130 pound bag right?

Thanks for those sites. I think I'm going to go with gbo. The main deciding factor is going to be price. Att is going to be very very expensive to train there 3-4 times a week. I don't like the idea of being restricted on how many times a week I can attend. Plus, gbo had really good instructors as well.

Where do ppl get 200 lbs of sand for cheap or even free to fill up the bags?

My buddy gave me one of those B.O.B. punching dummies awhile back when he was moving. I went to Menards and picked up a few bags of the tube sand that you use in winter time to throw in the trunk of your car. I can't remember how much it was but it wasn't that much at all.
