i kid i kid. there was just so much talk about "foam formulas" and such and i'm no chemist.

Primetime clones are nothing new; there are quite a few companies who produce them. i just felt a little skeptical when these are being advertised as the exact same as the original from reverse pad engineering. so forgive me for being curious.

from Primetime's site:

Don't be fooled by wannabees....everyone hs tried for over 4 years to imitate this glove and none have figured it out. PrimeTime's COMBAT PAD™ is real and it makes a difference. Thats why full contact fighters the world over are using our Level 3 & Level 4 MMA Gloves.

Well I don't have access to a pair of Level 3s or 4 so it will be a little hard for me to compair directly. I have found a pair of Gameness's Sniper version and a couple of other brands to heads up these against.

I have no reason to doubt the foam is the same if they tested it then matched it.

What it breaks down to these are decent gloves for a good price I think. I'm happy with the purchase and as I use them more and compare them against other gloves I will continue to report on what I think.

However if you would like to buy me 2 pairs of each for me to cut open I will be happy to post photos of the cross section of each glove.

i figured as much. ha ha ha ha

and i know what you mean by there being lots of clones- the csi hybrid training gloves are just that and I wasn't impressed with them. If primetime would come out with a glove with they type of padding they say their gloves have, and make it as thick as a shooto pad, they would have the world standard in MMA sparring gloves in my opinion.

MAKE THAT GLOVE HAPPEN SSF! hook it up!

smaller sizes?

Hey Ron,

I was wondering if you were going to make smaller sizes? My hands run around 6.5" circumference, which I suspect is too small to make a good fit with the regular sized glove.

Cheers

you can get the original Primetimes in XS and S, but you'll have to pay extra compared to SSF. just a suggestion though. gluck.

We will be getting smaller sizes in during the next few months. We are working on a couple of design changes. We are super low on the SSF PrimeTime gloves and the Shooto gloves.

Give me some suggestions on colors. We are open to colors. We are a small company so we can make changes to our products easier then the big guys but we are slower to restock so if we have something you like, you need to order fast. It's the same thing with Truth and a few other brands. We will listen to the customers but it takes time for us to place and get our orders in. We are always tweaking with our designs to get the best product we can.

Yellow and blue would be good color choices.

pink for the ladies perhaps?

Ron, I haven't ordered yet since I had to pay for some bills, but if you guys get yellow, I'll order the next day
