As far as stand up striking I switch my gloves out to my shootos or a set of actual boxing gloves. could you use them probably I just choose to use something a little safer for my partners. I did throw a couple of 70% shots last night just playing around standing. They seem to give enough to use standing with control.

On the ground we typically don't really bang very often, I think they would be fine as long as your not trying to kill your training partners which isn't the point of training anyway.

Every once in awhile we'll let go and throw decent shots, I just haven't with these gloves yet. We I do I will make sure I report on it and ask how it felt on the receiving end as well.

Mike next time I'm home I'll measure the thickness of the padding but I think 1 1/4 is probably pretty close.

They are the same as the Gameness/Primetime. We had a guy at UT test the padding to make sure they were the same.

Just over an inch best I can measure, its kinda hard because of the curved surface and such.

For the record the wraps I had on were 108" Mexican's from Title. The fit was fine.

Most of the clones we have seen use standard EVA foam. We had to have our own formulation made up to match the PrimeTime ones.

can you describe the difference in feel and durability between EVA foam and your formula? I'm curious. Is it softer/harder? Does it last longer?

Clamp-Our foam is a little more dense then standard EVA. So, it takes less to provide the same amount of impact protection. So, it is a little heavier then EVA for the same amount of foam.
