My wife got me a pair of these for Christmas and I just barely got a chance to roll in them today. The first thing that impressed me is that she ordered me a size 34 and that is what I got. These fit me perfectly at the waist and they have a lot of room for adjustment. The velcro in the fly and on the waist cinch is really strong. I have pretty big thighs and these shorts give me plenty of room to move however I want.
I don't need or want to be worrying about my grappling shorts ripping or being pulled off of me while I am rolling. This is why, before these, I wore gi pants on no-gi days about 90% of the time. I like to feel confident in my gear and I feel pretty confident in these shorts.

The pocket on these shorts is actually on the hip and not in back like the description states but that doesn't bother me because I will hardly ever use the pocket.
